It’s been a bit since I wrote anything. But I was looking at my pictures from morning chores a few days ago and all of a sudden I needed to write! I’m new to Blogging so here goes!
I love the peaceful quiet when I go out to feed the horses; the part right before I have to get busy and focus. I revel in the early morning chorus comprised of the sounds of the wind in the trees, the soft nickers of greeting from the horses, and the gentle meows from the kitties.
One of the most inspiring parts about morning and evening chores are the sunrises and sunsets. The colors are often breathtaking.
My inspiration picture spoke to me. I am amazed by the lack of color in this picture except the sunrise blazing through the opening in the Young’ns shed. It’s a picture of life, an unedited example of focus and perception.
How many times do we get caught up in day to day mundane life? So often everything feels beige and blasé. Yet if we take a moment to pause and perhaps mentally step a bit to one side or the other then we are able to see something special.
Has God been trying to add beauty to your life? Are you too focused on the mundane, or rushed by life’s hurried pace, to see the lovely little vignettes God has placed in your world? God is always there; ready to show us something wondrous-if we can just push ourselves to look through the distractions.
Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Psalms 139:9-12
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
